Greetings sister saints! I hope you are all standing strong in the Lord today. I was reading that this morning and was pondering 'humble' and how I wasn't before Christ, and how today I strive to be that, laying down any pride, lowering myself and thereby lifting Him up who is worthy! I made an audio to share with you.
Yesterday we were all set up for a preach, less than a half block away and watching the weather as there were severe storms coming. (Tornadoes ripped through Nebraska and western Iowa on the way toward us.) We decided to go out and stand for the Lord, as the storms were holding off for the time, and we're so glad it worked out because many people got truth. You can see the post HERE. You can see on the videos and the picture below that we weren't in a high pedestrian area yet 4 men walked by, 2 women and 4 men from the church came out. AND, the rain held off just long enough for us to be out and then get back to our little van home shelter before it came. Praise the Lord we didn't have to endure hard storms as it seems they went around us, so that was a blessing also. It's been raining off and on all day here so we took a long witness walk in the store and then went to the marketplace to work online and see if anyone wants to talk about the Lord. (One man walked by, commented on the Bible and got a gospel card.) That man stood there with (who looked like) his grandson, reading the gospel signs on the van, as did the man that pulled in next to us, walking around the side to the back, reading. But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter.....Mark 1:45 I love that and am using it to show how we try to publish and blaze abroad the matter of the GOSPEL and the glory of God! We're heading northward again tomorrow, maybe some sign flying along the way, but let's see if we get the day and if we do, what the Lord has for us in it. We can make plans but it's the Lord's will we want to be doing, being led by the Spirit. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:12-14 I have to go for now but know that I'm praying for all of you, sisters and seekers. Time is short, seek the kingdom of God....what else is worth anything compared to that?! Love and godly hugs, Sister Aman Greetings to sisters who have died to self and love the Lord! We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 John 3:14 I've been pondering that lately, among many other topics, and I've been thinking that loving the brethren also means standing on the truth over and above fellowship with one in sin. If we allow a sister to remain in her sins, we don't love her, we hate her. Yep, I'll say we hate her because her end will be eternal destruction if she doesn't repent and if someone could care less about the person and more about not hurting feelings or overlooking sins to their demise (and denying God His glory)....to me that's hate. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15 Exactly! Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16 That can happen in many ways, laying down our lives but the one I'm thinking about lately is laying down our flesh, as believers doing the hard things, and keeping sin out of the body from those who refuse to see their sins and repent. This honors God and shows one way of true love of the brethren, hoping the sinner be ashamed and repent to the saving of their soul. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. 2 Thessalonians 3:13-15 Interesting that right after that it says this... Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 I know it's the ending of the letter but it's also true that we do have peace by all means through Christ when we obey His word, even in topics such as this. 💧💧💧💧☔💧💧💧💧 We have a rainy day (and it looks like the next few days) so we're in the marketplace working online and witnessing when opportunities arise. In fact as I was typing this I saw a small shuttle service bus dropping off a woman in a wheelchair with another young woman (who looked muslim) pushing her so I opened the doors for them, giving the pushing woman a gospel card saying that Jesus made the narrow way and He said to love our neighbors. I find that most often the Muslims won't even smile or sometimes purposely look away but she was very friendly (maybe because I was holding the doors) but she took the gospel card and hopefully will read it and see the love of Christ from a neighbor. We were at our campspot the other day (you can see that post HERE) and there were lots of dandelion flowers all over. (I used to harvest the leaves and roots for teas - 'sposed to be a good internal cleanser:) so I took a few pics and then after looking at them thought of something..... One picture is of a young flower and the next of what happens when it matures. Both fulfilling what God created them to do, both are amazing creations. Those of you who have followed along know that I love this.... Doth not even nature itself teach you...... 1 Corinthians 11:14 Scriptures use many illustrations of nature and so I like to also. I was thinking about that fresh young looking yellow flower and how it will eventually mature and become white. Rather like us women who all start out fresh and young and through age, we mature and become white (gray), scattering our seeds (GOSPEL, truth and witness) and then dying and going back into the ground. It's the cycle of life and one not to fear in Christ. I wrote a post a couple years ago called "Growing old Gratefully" HERE that might encourage you:) We went on a long witness walk in a mall of a big city, you can see that HERE along with some other witnessing encounters from the recent past. We're still in the same town and since it's raining we might go back for a while and see what happens:) The Lord knows and we sister saints just go about the works He has set before us. I hope your day goes well, doing all things unto the Lord who deserves our praise. Much love to you all, in godly love, through Christ! Sister Aman Greetings sister saints. Let us lift up the Lord in our days, praising Him for all He has done! And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. Romans 15:9-11 I read this yesterday... Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. Psalm 131:1 I want to always examine myself so I can say that and I want that for you too. Haughty is similar to proud.... The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: Psalm 12:3 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Psalm 138:6 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. Proverbs 21:4 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: Isaiah 2:12 ....of which we don't want to be. Go do a word search on proud and pride and see what God thinks of that. We can, however, be strong and bold on the word of God, standing with confidence in what we see in the scriptures and not wavering. Dying for what we believe.... Christ is the truth which we would die for. He's the word which we would die for. How can we not stand boldly and confidently on His truth and yes, people will think you're proud because of it but they don't have discernment to understand the things of God. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14 Those born of the Spirit (see the gospel HERE) can discern the truth of God's word and rightly divide it, live it and preach it. As I type this, I'm sitting on a picnic table, with a pretty view and birds singing....at a campground. $5 for a quiet, peaceful evening. Here's a glimpse, we'll have a post soon. We're headed toward some bigger cities for the weekend and had some ideas for preaches but it looks like it might be rain from Friday through Sunday with thunderstorms within....so let's see what happens. The Lord knows and we'll keep doing what we do each day for Him just as I know you all will, in the lives He has for you. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 1 Corinthians 12:14-18 Let us rejoice in the calling the Lord has for us, redeeming our days for Him. I hope you have a joyous evening sisters. The Lord be magnified in our lives as we live for Him. Hold Fast! Endure! Stand! Rejoice! Love to you all, 🌹Sister Aman🌹 📖 Greetings sister saints🕯 I hope your day went well yesterday and going the same today! I didn't get on here last night because we were super busy and I have a lot of different ministry and earthly things to keep up on and sometimes more than others but know that the love of Christ in me, is there for you, even if I can't share it sometimes:) I'm here today to encourage you though! I've been pondering how great our creator God is compared to man and how great man thinks he is to God. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Genesis 6:5-7 How frightening to have our creator looking at mankind wanting to destroy him, but is the danger of destruction gone? No... It's still there for those who die in their sinful rebellion against Him. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 I don't understand how people (the created) can't fear such an awesome God (the Creator) who is coming back to destroy all that isn't His and in rebellion against Him. There are 2 words in Romans 1 that should strike tremendous fear in us! (There are more but I'm aiming at this....) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE Romans 1:20 We have NO EXCUSE in just Romans 1, what about all the rest of God's Word!? The flesh of man lifts himself up to a higher position than the humble, lowly created being we should be, bringing condemnation unto ourselves as there are to be no other god's before God himself and by lifting ourselves, we become our own god and idol before Him. He's going to put all things right in our end and the end so let us sisters walk in a manner pleasing unto Him. HERE is a post that will help godly women be pleasing to Him. It's one I did years ago on my old sisters blog and carried it over here. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:9-10 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2 Let us walk in His will and ways, not the ways of our flesh that lead us to destruction that we were talking about earlier. Proverbs 31 / Titus 2 time. I've been pondering Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 and how they both compliment one another. Titus 2 alone is good but Proverbs 31:10+ gives a LOT more detail on how godly women are to conduct themselves in their lives. We godly woman have a nice assortment of responsibilities in our days, ones we should be thankful to be doing unto the Lord and not unto ourselves and living under the rule of Satan any longer. Speaking of, we had more travels today and one of my jobs is to map the route, finding places to stay and while doing so, I look for discount stores and sales as we travel. Today we stopped at a dent and bent store and of course there was witnessing and we found some awesome deals. You can listen HERE to our daily audio we did about all the Anabaptists (and others) that heard the truth as we went about our day.... if you want. We got to our parking spot for the night and brother Tupos got gas and I walked to the store for a witness walk and text me.... Lol, he worked hard to get us a level parking spot!!!!! That's a super awesome gift in van life to be able to sleep flat :) We have more travel tomorrow, Lord willing, working our way northward, lets see if we get the day. The Lord be glorified in all we do and I hope you are thinking the same thing, keeping Him first and foremost in your life. Hold fast and seek the kingdom of God! Love to you all, in Christ, Sister Aman (This post is from my old sisters blog, copied over here.) ********************************* Praise the Lord, good day to my fellow sister soldiers! It's a beautiful day here (in the 60's) with sunshine and a breeze, we're thankful as we know there are those who are just coming out from the other side of that great storm that went through the midwest and many people suffered. I pray that the lost hearts are seeing that they are but mortal beings and seek the Lord and His truth. God is good and all about Him is righteous and just, His will be done in all this. Today I want to look at Titus 2 and the word 'good'. I've done various posts on the characteristics of godly women but not such a one as 'good'. What a perfect word as it describes our heavenly Father, the Creator of all things.. Psalm 100:5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. He declares His creation is good. Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. We see the depth of good vs evil... Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And of course, we see throughout the entire word of God that His people are to be and do good and in reference to this post, we see in Titus 2 that the aged women are to teach the younger women (among many things) to be good. (That means also to do good.) Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. That one little word, stuck right in the midst of all those other commands, means much. I'm sure we all know what good means but let's take a look at the Hebrew meaning such as in the verses from Genesis... And the greek meaning such as in Titus 2. Before we go into what would be good works, let's talk about the foundation of why we should be and do 'good'. Titus 2 is referencing those who have believed and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who He was and what He did on the cross to atone for the sins of mankind. Such women have repented of their sinful, worldly lives and were born again (from above) and God has given them a new heart and new mind, therefore becoming a new creation of which the Holy Spirit is within them. We see this given in the Old Testament... Ezekiel 36:23-28 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. [24] For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. [25] Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. [26] A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. [27] And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. [28] And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. As well as the New. Hebrews 10:14-23 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. [15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; [17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. [18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. [19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] And having an high priest over the house of God; [22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) I share this because such works are to be done through faith, not the flesh, in the name of the Lord and through the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of a transformed person. If you have not been born from above, through the biblical GOSPEL, then your good works are not wrought of God and therefore not acceptable to Him in this new Covenant. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Moving on now to those who have had a transformed life and are seeking to please their Lord and Master, let's continue looking into what is 'good' for a woman of God. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. We see that our lives lived for God are our reasonable service. And let me share something that brother (Tupos) is always saying to people who push back on the obedience in the life of a transformed person...He explains that in the time these commands were given, the Jews were already living very biblical but were lacking the Spirit. They were called out and separate from the world, they were dressing and covering biblically, the women were not acting as feminists and were doing their rightful role as keepers of the homes, they were bearing children, not partaking of the Roman games and entertainment etc. But today, 'professed' believers are so very far from even those basic fundamentals of the faith that the Jews were already doing. When people find out how far away from the truth their life is, they moan about how hard it is to do such things but we see it's simply our reasonable service, which with this view puts mankind in their rightful humble place. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. We were created for 'good' works so let's go through the scriptures and see the verses that would encourage women to be and do good. Loving God is good. Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. Loving our neighbor is good. Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Loving one another is good. [35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Loving husbands, loving children, keeping the home, being discreet, chaste and obedient is good. Titus 2:4-5 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, [5] To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Being quiet is good. 1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. Submitting to husbands is good. Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Dressing biblical, being shamefaced and not adoring is good. 1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; Childbearing, having faith, charity, holiness and sobriety are good. 1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. [14] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Preferring one another is good. Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Shining your light is good. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Preaching the gospel is good. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Praying for one another is good. James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Studying the scriptures is good. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
